Employee Profile...

Rene Laviolette, CTO Rene Laviolette has been with MTI Systems since its conception. He is the Chief Architect and Developer of the Costimator software and is responsible for the day-to-day development and maintenance of the software. Rene grew up locally and graduated from American International College with a Bachelors Degree majoring in Accounting. Rene is married and has two young children. He is currently President of a local Rotary Club and is actively involved with local politics.

...that you can attach the file paths of part drawings, material specifications, supplier quotes and more to your Costimator estimates? This document management feature allows you to store critical information about the part with your estimate for future reference.

To Answer Your Questions

Q: Is there any way to track estimates that are won and lost within Costimator?

A: : Yes, in fact within Costimator you can set up 10 user-defined fields which can be used as search criteria as well as for reporting purposes such as tracking your win/loss percentage.

Q: Are there any security controls within Costimator so that our databases can not be corrupted?

A: The Costimator User Manager Utility allows the System Administrator to set up each user with various rights to each of the Costimator databases. For each database a user can be set up as "View Only" or "Full" with rights to create, read, modify, delete and print from the database.
