Dave Sepavich, Senior Account Manager Dave came to MTI systems with 20 years of experience managing a number of OEM manufacturing facilities. “Each of these companies manufactured large process machinery built to specification, so they were more like job shops than traditional OEMs.” He graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a degree in Marketing, and has an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

“I enjoy working with people who understand that estimating costs accurately is critical to their ongoing success and profitability.” In his spare time, Dave can be found hiking in the hills of Western Massachusetts or on the beaches of Cape Cod.

To Answer Your Questions

Q: We estimate a lot of similar parts. Do I have to start every estimate I do in Costimator from scratch every time?

A: No, in fact we recommend that you save estimates as Master’s within Costimator so that when a similar part needs to be estimated you can simply copy the master to the part number you are currently estimating. From there you need only make those changes in the estimate that reflect the configuration of the new part, saving you a lot of time in the process.

Q: How can Costimator help me find a part we estimated months or even years ago?

A: Costimator has an Advance Search function that is designed to help users find parts quickly and easily. Searchable items include Part Number and Name, Customer Name, Estimator, Job Number and Date Created or Changed along with 10 user-defined fields.
