He is a certified Windows programmer with a degree in Computer Programming & Analysis. He enjoys flying small planes, water skiing and SCUBA diving. "My most rewarding moments", Pete says, "are when customers upgrade to a new version and tell me how much a new feature I helped develop is having a positive impact on them and their business in some way."

Did You Know...

...that Costimator can import a BOM from a text file or from an Excel Spreadsheet. The information is then placed into Costimator's Project Manager where it can be estimated. Prices from made (estimated) or purchased (nuts, bolts) parts already in the Costimator database will automatically get pulled into the BOM. Those parts that do not appear in the database are now ready to be estimated. The user can toggle between the project and part views.

To Answer Your Questions

Q: Where does the data within Costimator (Work Centers, Material, etc.) come from?

A: The majority of the data that resides within Costimator comes from the over 900 customers that we have implemented the system in during the past 24 years. The balance of the data comes from industry resources (books, studies, leading companies) and research done by MTI Systems' Process Engineers.

Q: What is a typical timeframe for implementation?

A: For an average sized supplier 3 days of training, which includes your system set-up, is a sufficient timeframe for implementation. For OEM's training multiple commodity groups we recommend our 5 day training program.
